Hi – this is my Mother’s Day card design for this year. And for something new, I have made a batch of them to sell…so if you want to get your hands on one, there are a few for sale at my Etsy Shop.
For this week, I’ll be posting them out as soon as they’re sold to any UK customers to ensure you get them in time to post yourselves to your Mum’s for Mother’s Day this coming Sunday. And to all you USA prospective customers, you’ll be super-organised and well in time for Mother’s Day, which is Sunday 9th May this year!
Depending on how successful this new venture is, I intend to sell more of my work in the future. As much as I love making cards for video tutorials for you all to see, I need some way of maintaining this without making me bankrupt! So I’m just trying this out, to see where it takes me. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Whether you want to buy anything or not, I hope you continue to enjoy my tutorials and projects =)
The flowers on this card have been handmade by using a paper scraper by Making Memories, then scrunched up and lightly sanded to create the shabby chic effect. They’ve been worked so much the paper has almost a suede feel to it…very tactile! The bottom of the card is made out of vellum with the sentiment embossed in brown ink. The colour scheme is very Spring-like and reflects my mood and the weather here in Leicester when I made them! ;0)
Bye for now!
Loved the sanding on the card and flowers look fab!! How did you make this stamp? Do you make the stamps to sell?
